We were very excited to stay 2 nights in the \"Lego House\" as the boys put it.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Ca name='more'\u003E\u003C\/a\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EFirst impressions? Bright, colourful and family friendly. As you walk into the reception you are greeted with full-on Lego! Our room was very Indiana Jones.\u0026nbsp;Lego spiders, scorpions, butterflies and even Indie's hat hanging in the bathroom. The boys favourite thing in the room was the monkey treasure chest. To unlock the chest you had to do a scavenger hunt around the hotel. The chest is refilled every day. And as guests, you have access to the park, an hour before it opens. Of course, we didn't make it. There is a pirate play area with more Lego. Lego characters in\u0026nbsp;reception. Pirate characters that entertain you at dinner. Also, kiddy disco DJ'd by Pirate Jingles! My favourite thing about the hotel by far was the disco lift. So much fun watching the boys dance their way up to the 3rd floor! There are so many rides for them to go on! They were loving it. Especially where you can build cars and boats to race.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/span\u003E\u003Cspan style=\"text-align: start;\"\u003EWe will definitely be going again. I would recommend at least an overnight stay.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/span\u003EBecause if you are disorganised like me, and arrive late, it won't leave you with much time to do all the things you want!\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cdiv class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: left;\"\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Ca name='more'\u003E\u003C\/a\u003EQueues can be long and that is one thing the boys cannot do. Well, neither can I for that matter. So it is definitely worth getting the \u003Ca href=\"http:\/\/www.legoland.com\/california\/legoland-california\/buy-tickets\/reserve-n-ride\/\" target=\"_blank\"\u003EReserve n Ride\u003C\/a\u003E (Q-Bot in the UK)! You can reserve a spot in line without being in line! There are 3 options. We decided to stay overnight so we could make an early start at the park. Although we don't live far from Legoland we thought it would be a nice little adventure. But even then we still only made it just before lunch!\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cdiv\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EOnce we arrived our first stop was to the Guest Services to pick up a birthday badge for Harvey and to register his name to show up on the boards (which in the end we forgot to check). Also, we hired a Q-bot, something I highly recommend!\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cdiv\u003EThe first ride we Q-bot for was the driving school. We waited for an hour and only when we got there did we realise it was for 6 and above. So we queued like the common people for the Learner driver school. Harvey loved it. He is a good little driver. Had a ride on the sky ride, fairytale ride, train ride, past small world, ate mini doughnuts, fried chicken, saw the fireworks and there were 3d glasses that made the fireworks look like lego bricks! Harvey and Steve went in but came back out after a minute. Harvey got scared of all the spiders. I can't say that I wasn't mad. But after being told to go walk on ahead on my own. I calmed down and we went to see the fireworks. They did go on for a bit. But Harvey had a great time and that was all that mattered. Sometimes I forget that. Raincoats and wellies on and the rain has let up a bit so off we go.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Ca name='more'\u003E\u003C\/a\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EFrom Waterloo, it is a very easy 15min walk over Waterloo Bridge. Or if it is raining you can take the bus outside Waterloo on Tenison Road. Stop at \u0026nbsp;Aldwych Somerset House, and from here it is just a quick 4 min walk to the museum.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EComing in from the side of the museum you could see inside the gift shop. It didn't look busy and I thought smugly to myself \"This is easy! We are early and no one will be around in the rain\". Then as we turned the corner, we were faced with a very, VERY long queue.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EOh shhhhhh...It was long.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003ESo we joined the queue and it started to rain a bit harder. hmm. Wait! This was the queue for tickets! So while standing in the rain, like a plonker, I quickly bought my ticket on the phone. The lesson today: Buy your ticket in advance!\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EAnyway, once inside there is free cloakroom to leave coats and bags and further in there are 2 huge buggy parks. We dumped our stuff and the boys were straight on the buses.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003ESo many cool things. Old double decker buses, trams, old underground trains, creepy manikins from different eras, a cute little kids' play area with a London bus, cable car and clipper and taxi. With a cafe next to it. We arrived around 11 and by 1 pm I noticed fewer people.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EBy the time we came out the rain had stopped so, I walked back to waterloo. It took me about 10-15min. It was great. The boys were asleep and I got to see a lovely view of London.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EI have always avoided going into the city where it isn't buggy friendly. The thought of having to bump the Phil \u0026amp; Ted up and down the stairs and then cramming onto the underground is my nightmare. So I highly recommend the Transport Museum! It was easy to get to. So we packed our sun hats and wellies and set off for a fun family day out.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cdiv\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cdiv\u003EGarsons Farm is very big. There is so much to do. There is also a very big Garden Centre with cafe and a lovely farm shop. We, of course, did not go early and we had to be back for a BBQ at a friend's, but we still managed to pick a variety of things and it was a fun afternoon.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EWe first picked raspberries and made the mistake of going to the first field where there were hardly any.
